Peru's investment promotion agency ProInversión has extended the deadline to submit bids to finance, build, operate and maintain transmission infrastructure in the central Amazon region of Ucayali till March 2017.

According to Brazilian energy regulator Agencia Nacional de Energia Eletrica (ANEEL), the country will auction 34 power transmission projects requiring combined investment of BRL12.7 billion in the first half of 2017. During these auctions, developers will bid for more than 7,000 km of power lines and 13 GVA of substation capacity.
