Global Transmission Research has released Global High Voltage Transmission Line Projects Database and Report on July 6, 2015. The report provides a comprehensive and up-to-date study on 1,310 projects (at voltage levels of 220 kV and above) in 95 countries, presenting significant investment and business opportunities. The projects have been classified as either under construction, or under contractor selection, or under development, or announced/proposed. The countries are organised into six regions: North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The user-friendly Excel database provides details on each project, including the route, rated voltage (kV), technology (AC or DC), length (km), estimated cost, developers, description, current status, contractors, scheduled completion, and contact details. There is a separate spreadsheet for each region.
The report has 1,100+ pages and comprises three distinct sections.
Part 1 of the report analyses the projects in the database in terms of region, voltage level, line length, technology, type of line, status, expected completion time, costs, and type of developers.
Part 2 of the report provides up-to-date profiles of the projects in every region in a tabular format. Each region is further divided into two parts. Part 1 of each region provides profiles of regional or cross-border interconnection projects. Part 2 of each region provides profiles of projects within a country. The report covers two countries in North America, 13 countries in Latin America, 34 countries in Europe, 23 countries in Asia, 16 countries in Africa, and seven countries in the Middle East.
Each project profile provides information on the route of the line, rated voltage (kV), technology (AC or DC), length (km), estimated cost, developers, description, contractors, current status, scheduled timeline, and the contact details of the project developers.
Part 3 (Appendix) of the report provides a list of acronyms used in the report. It also includes a note on the research methodology and sources. It also provides a list of tables and figures.
The report is indispensible for any organisation interested in the global high voltage transmission industry – utilities, system operators, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, EPC contractors, service and technology providers, investors/lenders, research organisations, industry consultants, regulatory agencies, development institutions, etc.
The database and report package is priced at USD5,000.
