Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), the utility responsible for the planning and safe operations of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES), is planning to seek approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) for a 240 kV project as part of the Southern Alberta Transmission Reinforcement (SATR) project.
