An agreement has been reached between the Maryland Public Service Commission (PUC) and Allegheny Energy wherein the company has decided to drop plans to construct a 37 mile (59.57 km) stretch of the Trans Allegheny Interstate Line (TrAIL) project passing through the Washington and Greene counties.
