French equipment supplier Alstom's transmission arm Alstom Grid has won a EUR240 million contract from Swedish state-owned transmission company Svenska Kraftnät for the design and manufacture of HVDC equipment to help Sweden integrate increasing amounts of renewable power into its electricity grid and improve the overall reliability of its network.
