Several major American companies, such as Cargill, General Mills, Procter & Gamble (P&G), Nestlé, and Unilever – which are some of the nation’s largest electricity consumers – have sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) seeking continued acceleration and enhancement of the regional and interregional transmission line planning processes to assist in making the US electricity grid more resilient and reliable.
