Colombian ISA acquires Brazilian PBTE for USD300 million [free access]

Recently, Colombian power company Interconexión Eléctrica's (ISA) Brazilian subsidiary, ISA Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista (CTEEP), agreed to purchase the Brazilian transmission company — Piratininga–Bandeirantes Transmissora de Energia (PBTE) for USD300 million.


The transaction will be carried out through the indirect acquisition of PBTE’ subsidiaries SF Energia SA (100 per cent) and Kavom Energia (7 per cent).


PBTE owns 30-km of underground transmission lines, which connect two ISA CTEEP substations in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
