ESIA and RPF studies for 400 kV line in Uganda [free access]

Description/Scope of work: Expression of interests (EoI) are invited for providing consultancy services, for the preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assesement (ESIA) and  Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) study for the proposed 82-km-long, 400 (220) kV Masaka–Mutukula transmission line under the World Bank—funded Grid Expansion and Reinforcement Project (GERP). The ESIA/RPF study is for identifying environmental and social impacts of the project and proposes mitigation measures that should guide definition of the most optimal transmission line routing that minimises negative environmental and social impacts and enhances positive outcomes. The study shall also guide preparation of the Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP). The duration of the contract is 4 calendar months from the date of award of the contract.
