Saudi’s SEC awards 132 kV OHTL contract to local TDP [free access]

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has awarded local company Trading Development Partnership (TDP) an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth SAR81.1 million, for the construction of 11.4-km-long, 132 kV overhead transmission line (OHTL) for the interconnection of the Uraidh (8374) substation to the gird network.

The contract also entails the construction of 22-km-long, 132 kV cable and associated outdoor equipment.

The respective contractor is required to undertake the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of the new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

The duration of the turnkey contract is 25 months from the date of award.
