Indian PFC forms new transmission SPV for Northeast project [free access]

Recently, India’s PFC Consulting Limited has formed a special purpose vehicle (SPV) namely, NangalbibraBongaigaon Transmission Limited for the development of a transmission scheme associated with the establishment of a new 220/132 kV substation at Nangalbibra in Meghalaya.

 

PFC Consulting has already issued the request for proposal (RfP) for turnkey works under the project, which will be awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The late date for submission of RfPs is May 12, 2021.

 

The scope of work of the project entails the establishment of new 220/132 kV, 2x160 MVA substation at Nangalbibra; extension works at 220 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) in 400/220 kV Bongaigaon substation (owned by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited; POWERGRID), Hatsinghmari (Assam) substation and Ampati (Meghalaya) substation; and construction of 400 kV Bongaigaon (POWERGRID)–Nangalbibra and 132 kV Hatsinghmari (Assam)–Ampati (Meghalaya) lines.
