Empower, Leonhard Weiss to renew power line in Estonia [free access]

Finnish implementer of zero-emission energy solutions Enersense International's Estonian subsidiary, Empower, and Estonia's electricity and gas transmission system operator (TSO) Elering, have signed an agreement on the renewal of the 330 kV, 200-km-long TsirguliinaViru transmission line in Estonia.

 

Under this contract, Empower will be responsible for all preparations and planning, the dismantling of the existing power line, and construction of a new one. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Estonian subsidiary of German construction company Leonhard Weiss.

 

As reported, the total value of the agreement is EUR55.9 million, of which Enersense's share is approximately EUR28 million. The project is expected to complete by October 2025.
