El-Sewedy Electric for Trading & Distributing, a subsidiary of Egyptian El-Sewedy Electric, has been awarded two turnkey contracts by Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) worth EGP1.15 billion.
The first contract involves the construction of two gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substations—Work Power Station (WPS) 1 and WPS 2—each of 22/66/220 kV with 3x175+6x40 MVA capacity. The contract is worth EGP970 million.
The second contract, worth EGP180 million, involves construction of the WPS 3 GIS substation of 66/22 kV with 3x40 MVA capacity.
El-Sewedy Electric’s scope of work includes the design, supply, and installation of the entire substations, with a commissioning period of 16 months.
