DEME Offshore-Prysmian consortium bag CVOW contract from Dominion Energy

DEME Offshore US LLC (DEME Offshore), the world's largest offshore wind farm contractor, announced that it has won a USD1.1 billion-plus Balance of Plant (BoP) contract in a consortium with Prysmian Powerlink for the construction of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project, from Dominion Energy Virginia—a subsidiary of Dominion Energy Inc.

Siemens Energy, Aker Solutions bag first US offshore wind grid connection

The company will supply the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system to bring green energy from 924 MW Sunrise Wind—New York’s first utility-scale offshore wind project, to the mainland.

GE Research and Prolec GE to install world's first flexible transformer in Mississippi

SB Energy inks 2 GWh iron flow battery agreement with ESS Inc

Hitachi to supply power reactors for 500 kV project in La Guajira, Colombia

Hitachi ABB Power Grids has received a contract from Colombian Grupo Energía Bogotá’s (GEB), to supply power reactors for the 500 kV Colectora–Cuestecitas–La Loma Transmission Line and Associated Network Project. As per the contract, Hitachi will be involved in the design, manufacture, transportation, installation, training and delivery of the single-phase, 500 kV line reactors for the project in La Guajira.

ESCOM awards contracts under MOMA project in Malawi [free access]

Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has awarded key agreements for the development of a 218-km transmission interconnector and Matambo substation under the Mozambique–Malawi Interconnection Project (MOMA). The interconnector will run from the 400 kV Matambo substation in Mozambique to the 400 kV Phombeya substation in Malawi, and also involves the extension of the two substations.
