The construction process for the 500 kV Guzar–Regar power line between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan has begun. The project is being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and entails a cost of USD25 million. Chinese Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, on behalf of Uzbekenergo, will be carrying out the construction of the line.
