The New South Wales (NSW) transmission system operator (TSO), TransGrid, is all set to install and operate a 50 MW/75 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Western Sydney, Australia. The large-scale, lithium-ion BESS will be installed at TransGrid’s Wallgrove substation in NSW and will receive funding of AUD21.5 million from the federal and state government.

State-owned power company Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced that the work on the long-delayed Solu Corridor 132 kV double-circuit transmission line is set to be resumed after sorting out issues with the local residents. Already 95 per cent of the work on the project has been completed, with 288 of the 302 towers installed.
