Argentina's Comité de Administración para el Transporte Eléctrico Federal (CAF), a state-owned committee set up to administrate funds for implementing projects under the Federal Electric Transportation Plan, has invited bids for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Bahia Blanca-Mar del Plata (Bahia Blanca substation-Vivoratá substation) interconnection, and to undertake complementary works in the northern and southern regions, under the Programa de Interconexión Eléctrica Bahía Blanca-Mar del Plata project being funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
