A high voltage transmission line to link the grids of Armenia and Georgia has been proposed under the Caucasus Energy Network (Phase I) project being funded by Germany's KfW Development Bank, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the EU-funded Neighbourhood Investment Facility (NIF).
