Alberta PowerLine General Partner Limited, a partnership-unit of ATCO Limited and transmission infrastructure builder Quanta Services Incorporated, has received approval from the provincial regulator to build and operate a 500 kV system linking the oil sands hub of Fort McMurray with generators and the main power grid near the capital city of Edmonton.
