BB2 project has been proposed to provide opportunities for new wind farms in eastern New Mexico to supply up to 362 MW of additional renewable energy, as well as deliver more power to the western regional markets since the existing BB line, which can deliver about 1,000 MW of renewable power, is incapable of supporting any additional wind farm development in the region.
