Belgian and German state-owned transmission system operators (TSOs), Elia and Amprion respectively, have awarded a contract to France-based Silec Cable, a subsidiary of General Cable, for the supply of 320 kV, 100-km high voltage direct current (HVDC) lines, for their Aachen-Liège Electric Grid Overlay (ALEGrO) interconnection project.
