Elia Grid International (EGI), a unit of Belgium grid developer Elia, has joined the 2 GW EuroAsia Interconnector Project, a transboundary high voltage direct current (HVDC), 1,518-km-long subsea link aimed at connecting the power systems of Israel, Cyprus, Crete, Greece and continental Europe.
