The Bitter Root project entails the construction of a 10.42-mile (16.8-km), 345 kV overhead transmission line connecting the 152 MW Bitter Root wind farm in Yellow Medicine County to the point of interconnection (POI) to be located at the planned 34.5/ 345 kV Astoria substation in Deuel County, South Dakota.
