The Brazilian government has announced its plans to sell off minimum BRL20 billion worth of assets of state-owned companies, including state-owned power company Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A. (Eletrobras), national oil company Petrobras, and an investment arm of Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) or the National Bank for Economic and Social Development.
