Chilean power transmission firm Transelec, owned by Canadian Brookfield Asset Management, has acquired the switchyard that interconnects SunPower's 100 MW El Pelicano solar project with the Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC) or the central interconnected grid of Chile for USD17.9 million.
