The Working for Advanced Transmission Technologies (WATT) Coalition — a group of companies interested in technology solutions for improving reliability and efficiency of the US transmission system — along with several companies like Americans for a Clean Energy Grid, the American Wind Energy Association and the American Council on Renewable Energy, has sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), requesting it to organise a technical conference to encourage the deployment of advanced transmission technologies as set forth in the existing federal regulation.
