Electric Transmission Texas (ETT), a joint venture (JV) between subsidiaries of American Electric Power (AEP) and MidAmerican Energy Holdings, has energised the 345 kV Riley-to-Tesla line project. It is the second project energised by the ETT under the USD1.5 billion competitive renewable energy zone (CREZ) programme of the Public Utility Commission (PUC). The company was awarded a total of seven projects under CREZ, of which the 345 kV Riley to Edith Clarke transmission line project had already been commissioned earlier this month.
