The European Union (EU) has reaffirmed that it will provide a EUR12 million grant to support construction of the first electricity interconnector between Albania and Macedonia as well as the introduction of grid efficiency improvements to the infrastructure of Makedonski Elektroprenosni Sistem Operator (MEPSO), the Macedonian transmission system operator (TSO).
