The Interconnexion France–Angleterre 2 (IFA2) project involves a new 1,000 MW subsea high voltage direct current (HVDC) voltage source converter (VSC) interconnector between the UK and France. The project is included in the European Commission’s (EC) Projects of Common Interest (PCI) list.
