Indian engineering, construction and procurement (EPC) major KEC International Limited has secured a USD6.78 million and NPR218.4 million contract from Tanahu Hydropower Limited (THL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of state-owned power utility Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), to construct a 220 kV line to evacuate electricity generated from the 140 MW Tanahu Hydropower Project.
