India's Empowered Committee on Transmission under the Ministry of Power (MoP) comprising of representatives from Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Planning Commission, and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), has identified eight projects which are to be awarded through the tariff-based competitive bidding process.
