The Independent System Operator (ISO) New England (ISO-NE) has chosen the alternating current (AC) transmission proposal of Eversource (formerly Northeast Utilities) and National Grid as the preferred solution to bolster the region's power grid in the Greater Boston area to ensure continued reliability into the future.
