The federal government (Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Ministry) has agreed to hand over Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB), the electric utility of Sabah, Malaysia, back to the Sabah state government as a measure to optimise the financial and technical position of the utility, and improve the electricity supply system in Sabah, which currently faces various challenges.
