The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has released a report called ‘2010 Special Assessment: Potential Resource Adequacy Impacts of US Environmental Regulations' which says that adoption of the four environment rules proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would lead to dramatic losses in generation capacity leading to severe grid reliability issues in most parts of the country.
