The NRSS XXXI (A) scheme entails setting up the 7x105 MVA single-phase, 400/220 kV Kala Amb gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation; line-in-line-out (LILO) of both circuits of the 400 kV Karcham Wangtoo-Abdullapur double-circuit quad line at Kala Amb; and 40 per cent fixed series compensation (FSC) on the 400 kV Karcham Wangtoo-Kala Amb double-circuit quad line at Kala Amb.
