The Government of Ontario, Canada, has issued an Order in Council (OIC) and ministerial directive to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), approving the East-West Tie (EWT) project proposed by NextBridge Infrastructure (NextBridge) [joint venture (JV) of NextEra Energy Canada (a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources LLC), Enbridge Incorporation, and Borealis Infrastructure Management] for the expansion of electricity transmission network between Wawa and Thunder Bay, via the construction of a new transmission line along an existing 230 kV corridor.
