German Siemens has partnered with Canadian utilities—New Brunswick Power (NB Power) and Nova Scotia Power Inc. (NSPI), to undertake the Smart Grid Atlantic project, which involves developing and demonstrating smart grid technology to better manage Altantic Canada’s electricity grid and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
