Spanish transmission system operator (TSO) Red Eléctrica de España (REE) has awarded French copper and optical fibre cable manufacturer Nexans a turnkey contract worth EUR50 million to manufacture and install an interconnection cable between the islands of Majorca and Menorca in Spain.
