Recently, in the Interregional Planning Stakeholder Advisory Committee (IPSAC) [a committee established to facilitate stakeholder review and provide them with the opportunity to advise the Joint Planning Committee (JPC) on matters related to the development of the Coordinated System Plan (CSP)] meeting held on January 31, 2019 in Eden, Minnesota, the US regional transmission operators (RTOs)—Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and Southwest Power Pool (SPP)—stated that they had received positive reviews to conduct a joint study of interregional transmission projects and publish a CSP from 2019 onwards.
