The Sudanese government has awarded a substation contract to Chinese state-owned power and engineering company, China XD Group. The West Kordofan substation will be constructed in the state capital, Al-Fula, and connect cities in the state with the national power grid. This USD9.4 million project, when completed, is expected to transmit 450 MW of electricity.
