Ecuador’s CELEC EP restarts work on 230 kV Tabacundo transmission system

International competitive bids are invited for the renovation of the two 230 kV line bays (Hasnabad 1 and 2) at the 230/132 kV Haripur substation along with the supply of the switchgear equipment, necessary modification of the existing control and protection panel including the supply of two differential relays (one differential relay and other one differential relay with distance protection), replacement of the existing 132 kV busbar protection system, extension of fibre optic multiplexer and tele-protection equipment, and integration of two bays with the existing National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) system, and associated equipment with all related civil works including earthing and lightning protection.

ADB extends USD120 million for Bangladesh-India interconnection project

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide a loan of USD120 million to increase the transmission capacity of a cross-border electricity link between India and Bangladesh, which will allow Bangladesh to better meet sharply rising power demand and support increased power exchange across South Asia.
