BNDES to manage privatisation of Brazilian Eletrobras
A presidential decree is expected to be announced soon, which will put Brazil’s Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) or the National Bank for Economic and Social Development, in charge of developing the privatisation model of state-owned electric power utility Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A. (Eletrobras), which is in the final stages of preparation.
