Recently, Duke Energy American Transmission Company (DATC) discussed possible routes of the Zephyr Power Transmission Project with the residents of Carbon County to avoid any possible impact the project may have on residents, wildlife and existing infrastructure. As per the tentative route, the line would originate in Chugwater town in Platte County, Wyoming, pass Carbon County and then terminate in Eldorado Valley just south of Las Vegas, Nevada.
