EDM, ESCOM issues tender for Mozambique–Malawi Interconnection

Mozambique’s state-owned Electricidade de Mozambique (EDM) and Malawi’s Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi Limited (ESCOM) have invited international competitive bids for the Mozambique–Malawi Transmission Interconnection Project, which is being funded by the World Bank through its Norwegian Trust Fund (NTF).

US’ MCA hands over 400 kV Nkhoma substation to ESCOM in Malawi

The US’ Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has handed over the 400 kV Nkhoma substation in Lilongwe to Malawi’s state-owned Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM), post its completion.
