As per news reports, Cyprus has issued the final building permit for the converter station under the high voltage direct current (HVDC) EuroAfrica Interconnector, which will connect the electricity grids of Egypt, Cyprus and Greece through a subsea DC cable and HVDC onshore converter stations.
