The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) has approved the request of Kansas Municipal Energy Agency (KMEA) to utilise the transmission network of Wheatland Electric Cooperative to supply power to Garden City consumers. In return, KMEA is liable to pay a fee to Wheatland Electric to utilise their network, which the company will recover from its consumers as part of the normal invoicing process for power costs.
