FERC accepts MISO’s request to revise procedures for merchant HVDC projects

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has accepted Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s (MISO) proposed revisions to the latter’s Open Access Transmission, Energy, and Operating Reserve Markets Tariff to add a set of connection procedures/agreements for the construction of merchant high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects.
