The project entails the construction of a 400 kV double-circuit line spanning 520 km for the evacuation of 900 MW-1,000 MW of power from the Lamu coal-based power plant (CPP) and 900 MW-1,000 MW of power from the coal-based power plants located at Mui Basin, Kitui.
