The state-owned power utility Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO) Limited will set up the 330 kV transmission line; connecting the first 150 MW thermal power unit at Maamba Collieries to the grid.

Zambia’s vertically integrated power utility, Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO) is in talks with financial institutions for a USD50 million loan to finance the construction of a transmission power line which will connect the proposed Maamba thermal power plant to the national grid.
