ISO-New England publishes 2019 offshore wind transmission interconnection analysis
According to the regional transmission operator (RTO), ISO New England’s (ISO-NE) 2019 Economic Study Offshore Wind Transmission Interconnection analysis, about 5,800 MW of offshore wind can be interconnected using alternating current (AC) cable connections to interconnection points along the southern New England coast, without significant upgrades to the onshore transmission network.
