Chinese SGCC acquires 68 per cent stake in Brazilian CPFL
State-run utility State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has acquired control of Brazilian power company CPFL Energia. It has reached a deal with the latter’s two stakeholders for USD7.3 billion, which increased its stake to 68 per cent.
